Animal Name Design is the design firm of Ben Brady based in Seattle, Washington and previously Brooklyn, New York. The work of Animal Name Design spans across many mediums from Architecture, furniture and product design, graphic design and identity.  

Ben received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Washington. After apprenticing as a traditional carpenter in rural Japan, Ben continued his education at Harvard Graduate School of Design. At Harvard, Ben received numerous awards including the prestigious James Templeton Kelley Thesis Prize for best graduating project as well as the Clifford Wong Prize for Housing and the Renzo Piano Building Workshop fellowship. Ben graduated with a Master of Architecture with Distinction and continued his professional and academic work on the East Coast.

Ben practiced in Brooklyn for many years and taught Architecture and Urban Design Studios at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture Preservation and Planning. He has been an invited critic at numerous institutions including University of Washington, Pratt, Cooper Union, UPenn, MIT, Harvard, Columbia, and UC Berkeley. Ben continues to design in his native Pacific Northwest and aims to create cohesive experiences to elevate daily life.
