28th hole
The 28th Hole is the most private and quiet area of the dining room. The room is easily contained so the trim, wainscoting and paneling are painted in a dark “Black Fox”. This will allow the green of the course to pop against dark frames and also will help to create a more intimate space inside. The ceiling ideally at some point can be replaced (although this is currently out-of-scope) to a suspended wood panel. Ornate and classical fixtures are replaced with mid-century, black, and more timeless fixtures. The floor is new carpet tiles with embedded mats at the doors. This is a commercial grade carpet and the mats will help preserve their life.
Founder’s room
The Founder’s Room has the potential to be a very flexible space. Modular conference tables can be rotated and covered to create a private dining experience (currently out of scope). The floor is carpet tile with a area rug brought in for dining. The walls and ceilings get fresh paint and the green soffit wraps the space. The ceiling could have a hidden projector in the suspended ceiling and a screen could be pulled down over a storage wall. The storage wall should be simplified and clean so that this space can be used for as many functions as possible (wine tastings, private dining, board and house meeting, rental space, etc). (currently out of scope)
Acton Room
The Acton Room is Simplified. A similar wood ceiling treatment can be added and painted to match the wall or wainscoting. The floor is an engineered chevron wood with a border of carpet and embedded mat near the door to the practice putting area. The floor will serve as a more casual experience and if the Acton Room becomes a bar in the future it will relate to the horseshoe shape in lieu of the fireplace wall.
